Awesome Sunset | Animation (2020)
Writer / Director / Animator
Two friends admire an awesome sunset.
I don’t think much of this corona thing, but the time in isolation has proven a good opportunity to learn new skills (and to eat ice cream for every meal). I always wanted to be better at animation so I made this super short film. My brilliant friends Holly Fraser and Indiana Kwong recorded the voices from their own isolation on the opposite side of the world, in Australia.

Gary's Big Day Out | Short Film (2019)
Writer / Director / Cinematographer / Editor / VFX
Gary Kangaroo's big day out takes a dark turn.
I shot this film as part of a "Five Obstructions" challenge I did with my friends. We all met up and each of us were given five "obstructions" - rules or keywords, to make a short film. My obstructions were:
- The actors should be people within the group (all non-actors)
- The location of the pub
- Montage
- Dutch angle
- Phone
It's a lot of fun and I recommend all filmmakers to try it out!

Alone in New York | Short Film (2018)
Writer / Director / Cinematographer / Editor / VFX
A disillusioned businesswoman dreams about being the only person in New York.
I shot this film as a fun side project on a trip to NYC. I filmed it on a Panasonic GH4 and the people and traffic were digitally removed in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. My friend Holly Fraser plays the main character and Ramy Daniel filmed her shots in Sydney with the assistance of Jonathon Buckland.
The song is ‘Biking is Better’ by Wintergatan who were kind enough to let us use it. Please check them out at: https://www.youtube.com/user/wintergatan2000

Alone in Hong Kong (2017)
Director / Cinematographer / Editor / VFX
Just a video I shot on a trip to Hong Kong in October 2017. I didn't have my camera with me so this is the first thing I've ever shot on an iPhone. I used VFX to paint out people, cars and the lights of the city.

A Squeal in the Hamster Wheel | Short Film (2016)
Writer / Director / Cinematographer / Editor
This is a short film I made for a class assignment at Sydney Film School in the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media. The assignment was based on Lars Von Trier's "The Five Obstructions". I had to make a short film based on five triggers/constraints I was given. They were: The location itself, PA system, edit tells us what something is thinking, negative space and using my two classmates as actors.

Lost in the Woods | Animation (2014)
Director / Animator
This is a short film based on the video game "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask", and more specifically, the comic and art by Zac Gorman.
Zac draws the video game comic blog Magical Game Time and he does some really wonderful and genuine stuff! Majora's Mask was one my favorite video games growing up and I really love Zac's take on it. On his blog he writes:
"Been thinking about Skull Kid and Majora's Mask. The more I think about it, the more I realize what a wonderful game it really is in context of the series. It's a game about alienation, loneliness and the importance of friendship, and in its own strange way it just may be the saddest and most personal Zelda game."
Check out Zac's work at magicalgametime.com and zacgorman.com!
The music was written for the film by Niklas Aldén and it is a remix of "Saria's Song" by Koji Kondo.
